Neuro Edge: Introduction to Functional Neuro and Brain-Based Chiropractic

Go deeper. Think sharper. Transform the way you see your patient. This program is grounded in clinical work with Hands on India in February 2026, where Dr Paul worked alongside twenty chiropractors in some of the poorest communities of West Bengal, India. In the absence of X-ray, CT, or MRI, assessments relied on a reflex hammer, torch, and pinwheel. Dr Paul assessed patients presenting with stroke, dementia, cerebellar disorder, Parkinson's disease and cerebral palsy, with consultations extending up to one hour per case. This clinical experience forms the foundation of this neuro immersion program. The program examines brain-based chiropractic through a functional neuro lens, introducing a structured Neuro Assessment Framework built on low-technology, accessible tools. At its core is an understanding of neuroplasticity - how the central nervous system adapts its response to afferent input over time. This reinforces a foundational principle of the brain-based model: neuro presentations should be understood as functional neuro events, not solely as structural or biomechanical findings. Chiropractors do not need previous functional neurology knowledge to complete this one day course.
What Functional Neuro Actually Is and Why It Changes Everything. How functional neuro differs from neuro taught in your undergraduate program. The brain-based model of chiropractic understanding subluxation as a neuro event, not just a structural one.
Neuroplasticity: The Science Your Practice Should Be Built On. How the brain changes in response to input and what role the chiropractor plays in driving that change.
Building Your Neuro Assessment Framework. A structured, reproducible neuro assessment protocol built for everyday clinical use using only the three tools already in your bag.
